advert brush and pattern

I have tried to create two advert texts using a cool brush and pattern technique but I don't think it worked. This didn't work because I used the text tool instead of the duplicate text tool so it didn't turn out the way that I wanted it to. The parts that did work whilst I was doing this is some of the colours that I used didn't show up. The software that I used to create the text was on Photoshop. I followed the tutorial the best that I could which caused me to create these texts. I only created two because I thought it would be enough. The writing of the text is two small that you can't exactly see the pattern or the brush design that I have created on the text. I don't think that these have worked well because they are both they are both the same colour just lighter from each other. I think that I should have made more time to create the rest of the brush and pattern. I think if I was to improve on this I would make sure that I know what I am doing before I do it. Also I would follow the tutorial better because I didn't really follow the tutorial to the best quality that I probably could have done. I chose to have the text as Advert because I was just seeing how to do the brush and pattern part of the tutorial that I thought the text should be Advert so I could see how to do it.

Badges

Today I have created 5 badges using Adobe Illustrator. I like these because they look a bit like badges. I like the fact that I have used different colours to create the different badges. I also like the different fonts that I have used for each badge to create different styles of badges. I have only created 3 badges because I just wanted to see how to create a simple badge using the software.  I don't particularly like the second badge that I created. I don't like the second badge that I created because I don't particularly like the colours underneath the text. It kind of hides the text because it is a similar colour to the text colour. The colour of this badge isn't a very bright colour making the badge the dullest one out of the three that I have created.  If I was to do these badges again I would follow the tutorial because I didn't follow the writing of the tutorial. This is because the computer that I used didn't show the writing of the tutorial. I think that my badges have worked quite well considering I didn't have the writing part of the tutorial to follow.  I probably could have made a few more badges with different details to make more interesting badges.
 
My favourite text that I used would be the last one because I feel as though it looks amazing. I like the fact that the background  blends in with the black text. I love that design of the badge because I have used a great gradient for the badge.  The badge that I don't particular like is the first badge that I have created. I don't like this badge because of the text that I have used. The text on this badge is too dark that you can't see the word Badge on the badge design. The 4th design of the badges that I did is slightly dull with the background colour. I probably could have changed the colour to a brighter colour because it looks a little too dull for a badge colour.


To improve on my badges I could have chosen a better colour to create the badges with because some of the badges that I have designed are very dull. Also I would probably use better fonts/texts because some of the fonts that I have sued aren't the best fonts that I could have used for my badges. I feel as though I have rushed making these badges a bit. If I had to do this again I would take more time creating the different badges because that way I can get a more interesting/better design.

Super Cute

Today I have created some cute characters using  Adobe Illustrator and the tutorial,.  The star characters have worked a lot better then my alien characters. This is because I found it slightly hard to unite alien characters into an alien body using the tutorial. Even though the aliens don't look exactly right they still look alright. They look like aliens which is all that matters. I like the eyes on my cute characters because I have created these very well. I like the eyes that I have created using Adobe Illustrator because they look very sweet as if they want something from people.




I have also created a necklace using the same software. This didn't really work out as well as I would have liked it to because you cant see the necklace part, just the bead part. I found this hard to follow because I had to add each individual circle to the necklace instead of creating lots of circles at once which was annoying. I found this annoying because I had to keep on copying and pasting each individual circle to add to the necklace.




I have changed my star character and alien character by copying the main part of the character. The only thing that I changed with these two characters is the paint tool on the mouth to make them look more detailed. I have done this to create another alien character and star character. I have also done this because it makes the character look more interesting instead of exactly the same as the other characters that I have created which would have been very boring. I have also outlined my second star character with the paint tool to create a new effect that I feel as though has worked very well foe the character.




If I was to redo the characters that I have created I would try and make the aliens look more like aliens because the body doesn't really look like an alien. I like the colours that I have used for my characters because they look very realistic in my opinion which I like. I like the mouths on all of the characters that I have created because they look very happy. I feel as though I have created the mouths better than the rest of the characters which I like.  The mouths bring out the  characters even more. If the characters didn't have mouths then you wouldn't see their expression of happiness

The tools that I have used to create these characters is the shape tool to create the different shapes of the characters. I have rounded off the star characters to make them look more like stars. I have created the mouths by overlapping two circles, then I used the direct select tool to create the mouths which I thought has worked very well. I have enjoyed making these characters because it was fun and it gave me great practise when I next create some cute characters.  I have grouped each separate character together so that I could move it around the canvas.




For my aliens I have created two white circles for the eyes to make them look cute. This has worked very well because the aliens are cute. I have also done this to create the starry eyed effect  to my aliens to give them slightly more detail.  This makes them look realistic. The graphics that I have used to create the aliens and the stars has worked well because they look as though they are part of a  game or an animation. Especially with the way that I have created the eyes.

Snowflake

I have created 2 snowflakes using Adobe Illustrator software. The tools that I have used is the shape tool to create the different shapes such as the hexagon and the star to create some snowflake type graphics. I like my first snowflake that I did very much because it looks like a proper snowflake using the software compared to my second snowflake which doesn't look like a realistic snowflake. I have also used the line segment tool to create the lines on my snowflakes which I found annoying. I found this annoying because not all of the lines that I wanted to create did end up on the page by me adding each separate line. I had to copy and paste most of the lines as the software didn't let me draw all of the lines onto the paper. The second snowflake that I did doesn't look like a snowflake as much as the first one that I did because of the star as the basic snowflake shape. I had to follow the tutorial of my snowflakes without the writing as the software didn't show the English on the tutorial. To improve on my snowflakes I could make them look more like snowflakes especially on the second one with the star which was probably unnecessary.  Also to improve I could have made my first snowflakes lines all even because they aren't making the snowflake look a little bit messy but not to bad. I have  made the snowflakes black because I just decided to. This is because I was practising on how to create some snowflakes using the software that I decided to follow the colour on the tutorial of black especially with the lines.  For me to improve the second snowflake I could have changed the star into more of a

Game Baddy and level

I have made my level using Adobe Illustrator which I enjoyed. I especially like the colours that I have used because it brings out the brightness used in the level. My level is made out of ice cream of various flavours such as mint, strawberry, chocolate, coffee and vanilla. The aim of the level is to play as Bellatrix (The princess warrior) to try and defeat the young evil wizard (Waldo) after his parents killed Bellatrix's parents. The secret of the game is the fact that Waldo can glitch anywhere on the platforms of the game to defeat Bellatrix. Also the secret is that Waldo's name is barely used by Bellatrix who often calls him the evil wizard. I like my platform game because it shows that I have thought about clearly what I want in my game. I like my characters that are in my game because of the way that I have designed them on paper first and then made them better by drawing them on Adobe Illustrator. I like the fact that I have made my baddy almost invisible because it shows that he is a wizard and that he can glitch (move) anywhere he wants to on the level of the game making it harder for Bellatrix to defeat him which I like.


My baddy(Waldo's) accessory is his magic staff that he is always holding when he glitches. He uses it to cast a spell to try and defeat Bellatrix to keep the world to himself. The only rules that there is of the level is you have to stay on the platforms. If you fall off any of the platforms then you loose the level .
